Maulana Hamid Raza Khan

Alahazrat's elder Son Hujjatul Islam Maulana Hamid Raza Khan was also a great Alim and Saint and was in fact the successor and trustworthy of his Scholarship and piety. He completed the remaining works of Alahazrat. He had mastery over rational and irrational branches of learning, Arabic Language and Literature.

He ran Madarsa Manzare Islam well and constructed the Shrine of Alahazrat. Soon a collection of his Fatwa will be brought in public view.

He opposed all Anti-Muslim movements like his father. In 1925, he participated in Moradabad Sunni Conference. In his address, he outlined a range of activities which the conference would undertake. Important among these was preaching of Islam both against the Shuddhi movement and against the false teachings of the other heretic Muslim Schools of thought. He actually outlined this programme in the light of his reverred father Alahazrat's 4 pts plan of 1912 A.D.  He caused to repent Maulana Abdul Bari Firangi Mahli and then went his home in Lucknow.

In 1934 A.D. he along with other Sunni Ulama challenged Ashraf Ali Thanvi for debate.

There was arranged a three days conference in Lahore but Ashraf Ali did not come and he sent his Maulvis who had looked from side to side and nothing else. The poet Dr. Iqbal was appointed arbitrator. On the last day the Muslims themselves saying that see the brightening faces of Sunni Ulama, particularly the Saintly brilliant face of Alahazrat's son and see also the black ill stared faces of Wahabis, decided that Sunni were people of truth and Wahabis were Bad Madhab (Wrong doers). Iqbal met Hazrat Hujjatul Islam and was much impressed.

In this debate conference Maulana Sardar Ahmad Sahab, Muhaddithe Azame Pak saw Hujjatul Islam first time and falling into his devotion left college education and came to Bareilly Shareef along with Hujjatul Islam.

Like his father, Hujjatul Islam was also a great scholar and poet. He translated his father's books Addaulatul Makkiah and Al Ijazatul Matina and others into Urdu. His 'Hamd' (Praise of Allah, a form of poetry)- "Allahu - Allahu, La Ilaha Illahu" and many Naats specially 'Gesue Mushke Faam Do' are much popular.

He passed away on 23rd May 1943.
