A "Moonscape" came to mind when I saw these barren mountains ourside of Nazca. We headed into rock mountains with no sign of vegetation, a lifeless desolate wilderness. It is a most inhospitable environment. The light at the end of this tunnel is that we were heading for the Pacific shore.
