We were absolutely amazed at the height of the dunes surrounding the lagoon. We wondered what prevented the sands from slipping down the slopes and filling in the lake. But this oasis has been here for centuries and the likelihood of this happening during our visit was highly unlikely. So we strolled around enjoying the serenity of the place.
