This canopy made of reeds is not uncommon in Nazca. The framework looks quite makeshift and the reed mats that form the roof are just enough to block out the sun. I'm not sure how sturdy it is but the winds in Nazca can get quite gusty. We were sure that the bicycle tire on the canopy was purposely placed there to keep the canopy mat from blowing away.
