Earth
movement in a magnetic field produces electromagnetic effects. We
measure the electrical induction in the ground with electrodes and the
magnetic variation with a magnetometer. We use an inclinometer to
determine the crust deformation before an important earthquake. The
Ground stress determinates a piezoelectric effect but Vrancea area has
important earthquakes at depth > 80 Km. Nevertheless the telluric
currents exist and an earthquake produces electromagnetic anomalies
(see the "History" pictures).

Lithosphere and Ionosphere interaction (Oregon University)
Our acquisition system use ICP 7017 modules and PC computers. The
magnetometer and inclinometer have their electronic system. Next
picture shows an electromagnetic monitoring exemple.

Magnetotelluric
Measurement System (Oregon University)
The telluric
currents are filtered with band-pass and low-pass modules.

BUCF
electrodes for electrical field measurements
The method estimates the energy from signals amplitude and frequency (see the
"History" pictures). A special software join information from
many stations and make a general view. We could select the
analysis method and the software filters parameters.
